Each applicant must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000 per application and per post for application processing and the requisite tests. Payment can be made through a bank, ATM, internet banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, U Paisa or TimePay using the 24-digit PSID generated on the challan issued through the online application portal.
Candidates applying for more than one post must pay a separate fee for each post. Candidates applying for multiple posts need to pass the physical test only once.
Government employees who meet the eligibility criteria must apply through the proper channel. Serving, retired or released police employees and candidates claiming eligibility through a parent or spouse who was a police employee must submit documents such as an FRC, pension book or retirement order at interview, where applicable.
Transgender persons may apply according to their self-perceived gender identity under the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018, as recorded on their CNIC.
Original Documents Required at Interview
Candidates must bring their NADRA-issued CNIC, academic certificates, domicile certificate and two passport-size photographs with a blue background. Applicants against the non-Muslim minority quota must also produce an affidavit duly countersigned by the respective Deputy Commissioner. Documents and photographs are to be presented at the interview stage rather than submitted with the online application.
Testing and Selection
Examination-centre information will be available through the application portal. Candidates may select test centres according to their convenience, subject to the ICT Police's exclusive authority to determine the examination location.
Only candidates who qualify in the physical/endurance tests and the computer-based or written tests will be called for interview. Passing a stage does not guarantee selection; failure in any stage, test or medical examination will disqualify the candidate from further stages.
The Departmental Recruitment Board and its staff will verify physical standards at interview. Any deficiency will result in disqualification, and the board's decision will be final. Higher qualifications will receive preference at the interview stage only. The general recruitment instructions state that relaxation in age, height and chest will not be granted.
At final selection, candidates must undergo a complete medical examination by the Civil Surgeon or a Federal Government medical board in Islamabad. Candidates with hepatitis B or C, or other permanent ailments, will be disqualified.
Candidates should wear joggers or suitable shoes and bring their own drinking water for the endurance test. They are personally responsible for obtaining a medical check before the test. Islamabad Police will not be responsible for untoward incidents resulting from medical unfitness or strenuous physical activity.
No TA/DA will be admissible for the computer-based, physical/endurance or skill tests, or for interview.
Declarations and Verification
Applicants must provide correct information. False information may result in proceedings under Sections 420, 468 and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code for forgery, fraud or cheating, punishable with imprisonment extending to seven years.
Applicants must disclose involvement in any criminal case through an undertaking on the online application portal. Anyone challenged, acquitted, convicted or cancelled from an FIR must submit an affidavit describing that involvement at interview. A false undertaking or affidavit, including concealment of criminal involvement, may lead to legal action and cancellation of the application or recruitment. The prescribed affidavit format can be downloaded from either application website.
The character and academic antecedents of selected candidates will be verified. Bogus or false information in criminal records, a false undertaking or affidavit, or a pending criminal case may result in immediate withdrawal or cancellation of selection, with legal proceedings also initiated.
Selected candidates will be governed by the applicable rules and regulations relating to conduct, discipline, promotion, retirement and other ancillary matters framed by the Government.
