PMDC Assistant Vice President Procurement Job in Islamabad

Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) invites applications for the position of Assistant Vice President (Procurement) on an open-term contract basis with a market-based negotiable salary. PMDC is a state-owned enterprise responsible for mineral exploration, mining and marketing, operating under the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan.

Key responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of PMDC's procurement strategy and design processes and procedures to support business goals; develop and manage the procurement budget in line with business goals; source new vendors, negotiate and sustain networking relationships; develop and implement optimized policies, procedures and systems that comply strictly with PPRA rules and applicable regulations; establish policy guidelines for cost-effective procurement and ensure procurement accordingly; assess risks in potential contracts and agreements; reduce reliance on single bidders or suppliers; and demonstrate knowledge and experience of import and export procedures, documentation and applicable regulatory requirements.
