Director General — National Agri-Trade & Food Safety Authority (NAFSA) — Islamabad (Fixed-Term)

National Agri-Trade & Food Safety Authority (NAFSA) invites applications from qualified Pakistani nationals for the leadership position of Director General to head Pakistan’s first integrated agri-trade and food safety regulator. The Director General will serve as NAFSA’s Chief Executive, provide strategic leadership, build institutional capacity, and represent the Authority nationally and internationally.

Key eligibility & qualifications

- Pakistani nationals only.
- Minimum: Master’s degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Management Sciences, Agronomy, Food Science/Technology, Plant Protection, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Economics, or related fields (as specified).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in an executive leadership role in a comparable organization.

Role & reporting

The Director General will act as the Chief Executive of NAFSA, responsible for institutional leadership, operational delivery, policy and regulatory implementation, stakeholder engagement, and representing NAFSA before the Board of Governors (reports to the Board through the Chairperson).
