Show Cause Notice to Geographical Assistant Muhammad Siddique (PBS Abbottabad) for Unauthorized Absence

Issuer: Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan.

Recipient: Mr. Muhammad Siddique, Geographical Assistant (BS-16), Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Regional Office Abbottabad.

Allegation: Unauthorized absence/absconding after being granted leave/EOL. The notice records that Mr. Muhammad Siddique was granted 731 days EOL (without pay and allowances) w.e.f. 01-02-2023 to 31-12-2024 (office order dated 16-02-2023). His joining was due on 01-02-2025 but he did not report for duty. Memoranda including a final memorandum (dated 16-06-2025) were issued to his home address; his request for a further three-year extension of leave was not accepted.

Required action: He is directed to submit a written explanation within 15 days from receipt of this notice explaining why departmental/disciplinary proceedings under the Civil Servant (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 2020 should not be initiated against him. Failure to reply within the stipulated period will result in departmental action as per the Rules.
