National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Islamabad is accepting applications for the 12th batch of the Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) — Fall 2026. The six-month professional certificate focuses on pedagogical strategies, competency-based education and practical skills for health professions educators using blended learning (face-to-face and online) and leads to a NUMS-awarded certificate upon successful completion.
Program details & eligibility
Duration: 06 months. Credits: 12. Number of courses: 04 (each 5–6 weeks). Suitable candidates must have 16 years of education in a relevant discipline with qualifications such as MBBS/BDS (or equivalent), BS Nursing, or BS Allied Health Sciences, and valid registration with the relevant regulatory body where applicable.
Learning & assessment
The program includes a one-week (5-day) face-to-face session at the start, Distance Learning Study Groups (DLSGs) via Moodle for course material and assessments, and online face-to-face arrangements for international applicants where required. Assessment comprises continuous assessment and a summative end-of-program certification exam.
