Municipal Committee Jalalpur Bhattian Public Notice: Repair or Demolish Dangerous Dilapidated Buildings

Municipal Committee Jalalpur Bhattian warns owners and occupants of dangerous, dilapidated buildings within committee limits to immediately repair, vacate or demolish hazardous sections. Under the Punjab Local Government Act 2025, residing in such unsafe buildings is an offence.

Owners and occupants are directed to repair or demolish dangerous parts of their buildings within 15 days. Non-compliance will invite legal action under the Act, including up to seven years' imprisonment and a fine (stated as 5.00.000). Citizens are asked to report nearby hazardous structures to the Civil Committee and to avoid basement excavation during the rainy season.
