Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) invites applications for PhD admissions for Autumn 2026 with fully funded merit-based scholarships for selected PhD programmes. Eligibility for Scholarship
- Minimum CGPA of 3.5/4.0 or equivalent in MS/MPhil degree.
- Applicants must submit a well-written research proposal aligned with the relevant department/faculty.
- Prior research experience or publications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates should demonstrate potential for teaching, learning and development.
- Maximum age: 35 years or below on the closing date.
Scholarship Terms & Conditions
- Scholarship covers full tuition fee for the PhD programme.
- Monthly stipend of Rs. 80,000 to support living expenses.
- Access to university research facilities, libraries and online databases.
- Scholarship duration up to four years, subject to satisfactory progress.
- Residential scholarship: scholars must remain physically present at AIOU Main Campus during the scholarship period.
