GCU Lahore Faculty & Staff Vacancies — Professors, Associate & Assistant Professors, Lecturers & Computer Programmers (Apply by 2026-08-15)

Government College University (GCU), Lahore invites applications from suitable candidates for multiple teaching and non-teaching positions. Vacancies include Professors (BPS-21), Associate Professors (BPS-20), Assistant Professors (BPS-19), Lecturers (BPS-18) across a range of departments, and Non-Teaching Computer Programmer (contract/fixed package).

Key eligibility & qualification summary:

• Professor: PhD from HEC-recognized institution in the relevant field. Typically 15 years' teaching/research experience (or 10 years post-PhD) and minimum publications requirement (e.g., 15 research publications with at least 5 in last 5 years) as per university/HEC criteria.
• Associate Professor: PhD from HEC-recognized institution. Typically 10 years' teaching/research experience (or 5 years post-PhD) and minimum publications (e.g., 10 research publications with at least 4 in last 5 years).
• Assistant Professor: PhD or alternatively MPhil/MS (foreign) with required years of experience; or first professional degree with specified experience — qualifications and experience criteria per HEC/university rules.
• Lecturer: Relevant postgraduate degree (MS/MPhil/equivalent) after 18 years of education; experience requirements vary; higher degree (PhD) holders considered under relaxed rules regarding prior divisions.
• Computer Programmer: Master's degree (2nd Division) in Computer Science from a recognized university. Preference to candidates with programming experience and knowledge of important software packages.

Application fee: Non-refundable processing fee — Professors & Associate Professors: Rs. 5,000; Assistant Professors, Lecturers & Computer Programmer: Rs. 3,000 each.
