Notice to Vehicle Owners: Renew Registration & Pay Outstanding Token Tax (Vehicles Suspended Since 2020) — Deadline 31 August 2026

Issuer: Motor Registration Authority, District Gilgit (Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, Gilgit-Baltistan).

Owners of vehicles whose annual token tax and registration renewal have not been paid or completed since 2020 are hereby informed that those vehicle registrations have been suspended under Section 34(1)(b) of the Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965.

Action Required: Affected vehicle owners must clear all outstanding token taxes, complete registration renewal formalities and submit required documents to the Motor Registration Authority to restore their registrations.

Deadline: All dues and renewal requirements must be completed by 31 August 2026. Failure to comply by this date may result in prosecution and other legal action under relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965.
