Issuer: University of Karachi. Vacancy: Director, Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) — contractual, one post. Applications are invited for a dynamic, visionary leader to lead research, innovation, commercialization, patenting and industry-academia linkages.

| At least 10 years' experience in research projects, commercialisation, project management or entrepreneurship in public or private universities/institutions. Entrepreneurial mindset with R&D/programme/operations management experience in national or international organisations or think tanks. Proven leadership in managing/growing non-profit organisations. Coordination experience with senior officials of HEC Pakistan. Minimum two years' experience serving as Director ORIC preferred. | Ph.D. holders must have at least four HEC-recognised research publications in Web/Scopus-indexed journals. Clear vision and strong leadership; knowledge of research innovation, commercialization and industry-academia linkages in accordance with HEC/SHEC and regulatory bodies. Maximum age limit 55 years at time of application. |
How to apply: Obtain the prescribed application form from the HRM Office, Ground Floor, New Administration Block, University of Karachi on payment of Rs. 4,000 by pay order in favour of "University of Karachi". Submit two copies of the completed application form along with photocopies of all relevant documents to the HRM Office, University of Karachi.
Important notes: All degrees and certificate courses must be from institutions recognised by the HEC. Applications on plain paper will not be accepted. Candidates already working in Government/Semi-Government or autonomous organisations in Pakistan must apply through proper channel. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be provided. The University reserves the right to withdraw or cancel the advertisement at any time. All previous advertisements for this post are withdrawn.
