State Bank of Pakistan — Public Notice: Unclaimed Deposits

Issuer: State Bank of Pakistan.

Purpose: Public notice regarding unclaimed deposits maintained under Section 31 of the Banking Companies Ordinance, 1962. Deposits for which the account statement has not been requested or acknowledged by the creditor for a prolonged period are treated as unclaimed deposits. Unclaimed items include various deposit types, drafts, bills of exchange and other banking instruments.

The State Bank provides public access to information on unclaimed deposits surrendered by banks. Information is available through SBP Banking Services Corporation field offices located in major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
