Issuer: Education Testing Council (ETC), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Sector H-9, Islamabad. Purpose: Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) for students who intend to apply for HEC scholarships in Ph.D. programmes and for admission into MS/M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in universities.

How to apply (summary):
- Register and submit application online via the ETC registration portal: https://etc.hec.gov.pk.
- Only fully SUBMITTED applications will be considered; incomplete or saved-only applications are not accepted.
- Candidates must register using their valid CNIC and a mobile number/email for communication.
- Fee payment: submit payment through 1Link/IBill invoice payment services via the generated consumer number on the ETC dashboard; payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- After payment, download Roll Number Slip from the ETC portal and attend the assigned test centre on the test date.
