Office of the Chief Collector of Customs Appraisement (South), Custom House, Karachi invites applications from experienced advocates for contract appointment as Legal Advisors in the Directorate of Law & Prosecution (Customs), Karachi. Selected advisors will provide legal support, represent Customs in litigation and appellate forums, draft pleadings and legal opinions, and assist with disciplinary and enforcement matters.

Scope of Work
  • Assist Directorate of Law & Prosecution, Customs Karachi in court matters and preparation of legal submissions.
  • Represent Customs in appellate and trial forums where authorized.
  • Conduct legal research on Customs matters; draft and review notices, replies and orders.
  • Support Customs officers in litigation strategy and case management; prepare pleadings and submissions for courts and appellate tribunals (High Court, Courts, and FTO where applicable).
  • Prepare periodic reports on legal proceedings and outcomes, and assist in ADR matters and departmental disciplinary proceedings.
Qualification & Experience LLB from a recognized university. Enrolled Advocate eligible to appear before High Courts. Substantial post-qualification experience in High Court practice, preferably with Customs law experience.
Contract & Remuneration Full-time contractual appointment for one year, extendable. Final monthly remuneration to be determined by FBR in consultation with the Selection Committee (advertisement notes remuneration consideration up to PKR 300,000 based on qualifications & experience).
