University of the Punjab – 2nd Admission Test for Undergraduate Programs (Academic Year 2026–27) – Register by 2026-07-03

Issuer: University of the Punjab, Lahore. Purpose: Announcement of the 2nd PU Admission Test for undergraduate programs for Academic Year 2026–27. The PU Admission Test is mandatory to apply for undergraduate admissions. The second test is tentatively scheduled for 2026-07-19.

Eligibility:

- Students who have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Students who have appeared in the final examination of HSSC or equivalent and are awaiting results.
- Students who appeared in the 1st Admission Test (held 14-06-2026) may also apply; the higher score will be used for admission.

- Admission test fee: PKR 2,500 (non-refundable and non-transferable). Download fee challan while registering. Fee can be paid at designated bank branches or via Mobile Banking through 1Bill.
- Applicants must upload proof of payment on the portal to complete the application process.
- Admission test centres will be held in major cities of Pakistan. Results of PU test(s) of previous year are not valid for new admissions.

Important program notes:

- For admission to certain Engineering programs at University of the Punjab (B.Sc. Engg. Chemical, Energy, Electrical, Metallurgy & Materials, Industrial Engineering & Management, etc.), PU Admission Test is mandatory as per regulatory requirements. Scores of recognized engineering entry tests (E-CAT/UET or NUST Test) may also be considered where applicable.
- Both LAT and PU Admission Test are mandatory for admission to LLB programs at the University of the Punjab.
- Admission to College of Art & Design requires the PU Admission Test plus a separate Aptitude/Test conducted by the college.
- MDCAT or PU Admission Test is valid for admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) program.

Selection and weightage:

- The admission test carries a weightage of 25% of the total merit calculation.
- Passing the Admission Test qualifies the candidate to apply on the University admission portal for advertised programs when open.
