Accountant (PPS-07) — Punjab Agriculture Department (PRIAIT Project) — Apply by 2026-06-30

Government of the Punjab, Agriculture Department invites applications from candidates domiciled in Punjab for contract appointments under the Punjab Resilient and Inclusive Agriculture Transformation (PRIAIT) Project (World Bank funded) administered by Directorate General Agriculture (Water Management), Punjab.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting & Finance or equivalent with at least 2nd division. Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting-related functions. Experience required includes establishing and maintaining project accounts and records, working with external auditors, preparing annual budgets and expenditure records, maintaining financial records, handling purchases and maintenance, and processing utility bills. Candidates should be able to coordinate with related offices on account matters and perform other assignments as required.

Eligibility & Domicile

Applicants must be domiciled in Punjab. Retired Government servants are not eligible. In case of other relevant degrees, equivalence from HEC/Competent Forum must be provided by the candidate.

Important notes

• Application deadline: 2026-06-30 (applications must reach the office by this date).
• Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. No TA/DA will be admissible for tests/interviews.
• Eligible candidates will be called for tests/interviews; lists will be displayed on the department notice board three days prior to the interview.
• Selected candidates under the project are on contract and are not entitled to pay protection or regularization. The competent authority may increase or decrease the number of posts.
