Issuer: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in coordination with Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA).
Effective 2026-07-09, all buyers and sellers in LDA jurisdiction are required to request and verify an official Property Certificate (Punjab land record certificate) when completing any property purchase or sale. The certified Property Certificate is issued and verifiable through the Punjab Land Records Authority’s digital system, which is linked with national identity verification (NADRA) and other government databases to prevent fraud. Property owners and prospective purchasers should obtain the certificate from PLRA’s official channels and verify it before completing any transfer of ownership.
Purpose: Legal protection of public property rights, prevention of fraudulent transfers, and transparent verification of ownership in Lahore.
Action required: Demand an authentic Property Certificate for every property transaction in LDA areas; verify the certificate via PLRA’s digital verification systems.
