HEC ASIP 2026–27: Call for Applications — Access to Scientific Instrumentation Programme

• Only PhD students enrolled in public sector universities of Pakistan are eligible.
• Applicant’s research synopsis/proposal must be approved by the competent university forum (e.g., Ethical Review Board, Advanced Studies & Research Board, Directorate of Research).
• Applicants may only apply for tests not available at their own university/institute; if test is available at the applicant’s institute, detailed justification required to use an external facility.
• Applications for sample analysis must be submitted at least twelve (12) weeks prior to planned sample analysis.

• Maximum funding for sample analysis per applicant: Rs. 200,000 per year (HEC financial year: July 1 – June 30).
• Applicants may submit multiple applications, but total disbursement must not exceed Rs. 200,000/year or three disbursements in total during the PhD programme.
• Tests must be conducted at public sector universities or public sector R&D organisations.
• Payments will be made by HEC directly to the service provider after satisfactory completion of analysis.

Application forms and submissions must be completed online via the HEC research portal: https://research.hec.gov.pk. Applications are accepted throughout the year via the online portal.
