Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan invites applications for the Access to Scientific Instrumentation Programme (ASIP) for the year 2026–27 to provide financial support to PhD scholars enrolled in public sector universities for access to advanced scientific and analytical facilities at public sector universities/R&D organisations.
Eligibility & Key Requirements
Only PhD students enrolled in public sector universities of Pakistan are eligible. Applicants must have their research synopsis/proposal approved by the competent university forum (e.g., Ethical Review Board, Advanced Studies & Research Board, Directorate of Research). Applications must be submitted at least 12 weeks prior to sample analysis. Applicants should apply only for tests or facilities not available at their own university/institute; if the equipment exists at the institute and the applicant is not using it, a justification must be provided. Tests must be conducted at public sector universities or public sector R&D organisations.
