Issuer: Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan — National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU), R&ID.
Purpose: Corrigendum to the original HEC advertisement inviting research proposals under the NRPU call for 2026–27. The corrigendum notifies two key amendments to the original advertisement:
1) Application Fee Waiver
The previously required application fee of Rs. 5,000 (to be paid via 1-LINK / I-Bill service using mobile or internet banking) is hereby exempted. No application fee will be charged from applicants submitting research proposals under the current NRPU call (2026–27).
2) Relaxation for Delayed/Unsettled NRPU Cases
The restriction that universities having more than five (05) delayed/unsettled NRPU cases are ineligible to apply has been relaxed/exempted. Accordingly, all universities are eligible to submit research proposals under the current NRPU call, subject to fulfillment of all other eligibility criteria and requirements prescribed in the original NRPU advertisement.
Other terms, eligibility criteria, and requirements of the original NRPU advertisement remain unchanged. This corrigendum is to be read as an integral part of the original advertisement.
