Public Notice: Renaming Road and Chowk near Harappa Station in Sahiwal

Office of the District Council Sahiwal issues a public notice proposing renaming a road section and a chowk in recognition of Shaheed Squadron Leader Ahmed Faiz.

The proposal covers the road section originating from the Railway Crossing near Harappa Station, passing through Chak No. 1/10-L and extending up to Kakhan Wala Mor, and the prominent intersection (chowk) situated directly in front of Village Chak No. 1/10-L.

Reason: In recognition of dedicated services and the supreme sacrifice of Squadron Leader Ahmed Faiz (Shaheed), who embraced shahadat during a training mission near the runway at Risalpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Legal basis: Proposal under sub-rule 04 of the Punjab Local Governments (Naming of Public Places) Rules, 2018.

Objections or suggestions: Any person having objections or suggestions may submit them in writing within fourteen (14) days from the date of publication of this notice. Submissions must include the sender's name, CNIC, address and contact details and should be delivered to the office of the District Officer (I&S), District Council Sahiwal. Objections received after the specified period will not be entertained.
