Pakistan Reinsurance Company (PRCL) — Shariah Advisor Vacancy

• Halaqaat-udul-Alamiyyah degree (Darse-Nizami) from a recognized Board of Madaris;
• Bachelor's degree recognized by HEC with minimum 2nd Class and at least four (4) years’ experience of issuing Shariah rulings in Fiqh-ul-Muamalat (including Takaful affairs) and adequate knowledge of Islamic finance/Takaful OR a Post-Graduate degree in Islamic jurisprudence/Usuluddin (LL.M/Shar'iah) and a suitable certificate of Takaful.

• Provide Shariah opinion on Re-Takaful policies and services;
• Ensure Re-Takaful operations, investments, contracts and agreements comply with Shariah principles;
• Ensure Takaful operations comply with SECP rules and Takaful / Re-Takaful matters;
• Assist in formulation and implementation of Shariah-compliant Re-Takaful policies and procedures;
• Provide technical advice and guidance to Company stakeholders and train officers on Takaful/Re-Takaful matters;
• Undertake additional assignments as required with approval of the CEO/Board.

• Selection on merit in accordance with the advertisement and Takaful Rules, 2012;
• Appointment initially for a fixed period (specified during selection), extendable subject to satisfactory performance; remuneration will be fixed by the Company;
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview; originals of documents will be required at interview; the Company reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning a reason;
• Selected advisor to be based in Pakistan and will be required to obtain prior approval if located outside Pakistan.
