Independent System & Market Operator of Pakistan (Guarantee) Limited (ISMO) invites applications for the position of Chief Internal Auditor on a contract basis. ISMO is a newly established organization responsible for the operation of Pakistan’s power system and electricity market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate accounting, financial, credit and other operational activities as an independent appraisal function.
  • Review and appraise adequacy and application of accounting, financial and operational controls.
  • Formulate and implement an internal audit program covering all aspects of financial transactions.
  • Develop and lead an effective internal audit team and ensure subordinates can discharge obligations.
  • Maintain liaison with external and commercial auditors and the Audit Committee; undertake special audits and investigations as directed by the Board Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate design and effectiveness of compliance functions.
Eligibility & Qualifications
  • Member of a recognized professional accounting body (CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA) or MBA (Finance) from a reputable local or international university/institute.
  • Minimum 12 years of post-qualification relevant experience, including at least 5 years in senior management or executive-level roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in auditing and risk management, internal control design, and financial compliance in public/private sector environments; understanding of governance, risks and controls especially in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) or public sector projects.
