Issuer: Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives and the Planning Commission.
Purpose: Call for Research Ideas under the RASTA — PIDE & Planning Commission Competitive Research Grants Programme, Ninth Competitive Grants Programme (CGP 9.0). Applicants are invited to submit research ideas aligned with the 11 National Economic Missions of the URAAN Pakistan vision.
Key programme facts: Since October 2020, RASTA has built a network of 360+ universities and think tanks, 194 international institutes, 211 government organisations, and 6,735+ researchers and professionals. Across eight grant rounds it received 3,376 applications and awarded 159 grants worth PKR 447 million, with 120 projects completed.
Application method and deadline: Applications must be submitted electronically via the RASTA Portal. Deadline: October 10, 2026 (Midnight PKT).
