Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan has issued a corrigendum to its National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) call for research proposals (2026-27). The corrigendum amends application fee requirements and eligibility conditions for certain universities while keeping other terms unchanged. It should be read as an integral part of the original NRPU advertisement (published September 6, 2026).

Key amendments
  • Application fee of Rs. 5,000 (previously required via 1-LINK/IBFT using mobile or internet banking) is now waived. No application fee will be charged from applicants submitting proposals under the current NRPU call.
  • The prior condition disqualifying universities with more than five delayed/unsettled NRPU cases has been relaxed. All universities are now eligible to submit proposals under the current NRPU call, subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria and requirements prescribed in the original advertisement.
  • All other terms, conditions, eligibility criteria, and requirements of the original NRPU advertisement remain unchanged.
