SNGPL Public Notice: Verify Clearance of Gas Dues Before Buying or Leasing Properties

Issuer: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

Purpose: Public caution to buyers, investors and partners to verify clearance of outstanding gas dues before purchasing, leasing, entering partnerships in, or demolishing industrial, commercial or CNG station premises/sites that may be owned by defaulters.

Key points:

- Some industrial, commercial and CNG station owners who are defaulters on gas dues may be attempting to sell, lease, demolish or repurpose premises without paying amounts owed to SNGPL.

- SNGPL has initiated legal proceedings under the Gas (Theft Control and Recovery) Act, 2016 to recover outstanding amounts. Remedies under the law may include attachment and auction of defaulter property through the Court.

- Buyers and other parties are advised to obtain a clearance of dues from SNGPL's Recovery Department before completing any transaction or entering into partnerships to avoid financial loss. SNGPL will not be responsible for any losses arising from transactions with defaulter-owned premises.
