Issuer: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
Purpose: Public caution to buyers. Some industrial, commercial and CNG station owners who are defaulters on gas dues are reportedly attempting to demolish or sell premises/sites without paying outstanding amounts owed to SNGPL. SNGPL has initiated legal proceedings for recovery under the Gas (Theft Control and Recovery) Act, 2016. Remedies under law include attachment and auction of defaulter property through the Court.
Action required: All interested buyers or partners are strongly advised to seek a clearance of dues from SNGPL's Recovery Department in their own financial interest before purchasing, entering into partnerships, or taking possession of such premises. SNGPL will not be responsible for any loss arising from transactions involving properties of defaulters.
