The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has admitted an application by Sapphire Wind Power Company Limited for adjustment of a tariff component in respect of its 52.8 MW wind power plant. NEPRA will hold a hearing to consider the petition and related submissions.
The petition's salient features include an O&M component set as a fixed reference rate, an indexing mechanism tied to quarterly exchange/price movements with a capped allowance for PKR/USD depreciation, a revised return on equity (ROE) determination to be applied under the reference tariff, treatment of exchange rate depreciation and an insurance component adjustment tied to actual or indexed values of EPC cost where applicable.
