| Key responsibilities | Lead and manage OGRA operations; set and achieve goals and targets as per OGRA Board; implement policies, strategies and programs to regulate mid‑stream and down‑stream oil & gas sector; maintain stakeholder relations. |
| Education & experience | At least a Master’s degree (minimum 16 years education) from a HEC‑recognized university or foreign institution in law, business, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, petroleum, technology, public administration, management or related fields. Minimum 20 years related experience in large public sector organizations and/or national/multinational private sector organizations, with at least 3 years’ experience as head of a public or private sector organization. Senior level policy and strategy formulation experience desirable. |
| Eligibility & other criteria | Pakistani citizen; age not more than 61 years at the time of last date of submission; must be an eminent professional of known integrity and competence. No person with direct or indirect financial interest in activities regulated by OGRA shall be appointed. |
| Pay & tenure | Equivalent to Special Professional Pay Scale (SPPS‑I). Appointment by the Federal Government for an initial term of four years; eligible for reappointment for a similar term until attainment of 65 years of age. |
