| LLB or preferably LLM from an institution recognized by HEC. Minimum professional standing/experience of 10 years, including experience in reputable law firm or corporate legal practice. Practical experience in corporate law, private law, civil law, service matters, procurement, taxation, litigation, and admiralty-related matters. Preference for candidates with exposure to shipping laws, admiralty jurisdiction, Merchant Shipping Laws, MLC‑2006, SOLAS, STCW, Law of the Sea, arbitration, ship arrest and sale/purchase, and handling legal matters of shipping offices and maritime authorities. | Up to 55 years |
Key terms: Appointment will be on contract initially for a period of two years with possible extension by mutual consent. Selected candidates will be offered a market-based remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience. NOC is mandatory for candidates currently employed with Government organizations. Upper age relaxation may be considered in light of relevant industry experience.
