Position	Member (Energy)
Qualifications	Ph.D. or Master's degree in Petroleum Geology / Geology (with specialization in Coal Resources / Gas Reservoir) / Chemical / Energy / Mechanical / Materials / Electrical (Power) / Mining Engineering with subject specialization relevant to the energy sector.
Experience	For Ph.D. holders: At least 14 years' experience including 5–8 years of managerial/administrative experience at policy-making level. For Master’s holders: At least 18 years' experience including 5–8 years of managerial/administrative experience at policy-making level.
Key Responsibilities	Promote and introduce innovation and technological interventions to modernize the energy sector and prioritize public sector investment for affordable energy. Technical appraisal, review, monitoring and evaluation of energy sector projects and programs; guide and advise implementing agencies. Assist in development of policies, regulations and standards; provide sectoral investment, supply and demand forecasting and economic appraisal. Coordinate with development partners and assist in preparation of Pakistan's energy sector strategy. Participate in CDWP and ECNEC meetings and facilitate approval processes for energy sector development projects / programs. Perform any other assignments as directed by Prime Minister, Minister for Planning, Planning Commission leadership or Secretary PD&S.
Tenure	Initial appointment for two (02) years, extendable annually up to a maximum of four (04) years, subject to satisfactory performance.
Location	Islamabad (Pak Secretariat, P Block)
