Allama Iqbal Open University – Faculty Vacancies for Professors & Associate Professors

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) invites applications on regular/contract basis for faculty positions across multiple disciplines. Interested candidates should meet HEC criteria and AIOU service rules/statutes.

Key information and application instructions:

- Eligibility and shortlisting will be determined strictly in accordance with HEC criteria and AIOU Service Statutes 1978 (as amended) and AIOU Recruitment & Promotion Rules. Maximum age limit will be as prescribed under the applicable rules with relaxations as provided in AIOU statutes.

- Applicants must apply online through the AIOU Job Portal and complete the prescribed application. Submission of the hard dossier is mandatory after online submission; failure to submit required hard documents will render the application incomplete.

- Candidates currently serving in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies (including AIOU employees) must apply through proper channel and submit NOC/service certificate(s) from the respective Controlling Authority.

- Processing/application fee: Rs. 5,000 for BPS-20 & BPS-21 posts. Download the challan form from the AIOU Job Portal and submit the paid bank challan as required. Fees are non-refundable. No TA/DA will be admissible.

- Application dossiers should include prescribed application form, CV, attested copies of degrees/certificates, relevant experience documentation, and other supporting documents. Submit hard copy along with the original paid bank challan by the cutoff date.

- Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be considered. AIOU reserves the right to cancel/defer/restrict the number of posts or not fill any post without assigning any reason.
