Bureau of Emigration Dismisses Orientation & Briefing Officer (BS-16) Atiq Ur Rehman

Summary: Following an inquiry into allegations of misconduct, the Bureau found that Mr. Atiq Ur Rehman, Orientation & Briefing Officer (BS-16), was culpable under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020. After examination of facts, disciplinary proceedings were initiated and an inquiry officer submitted a report supporting the charges. The authority accepted the findings and imposed the major penalty of dismissal from service under Rule 4(3)(e) of the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.

Rights and remedies: The dismissed officer is entitled to file an appeal to the Appellate Authority under the Civil Servants (Appeal) Rules, 1977 within 30 days from the date of issuance of this notification.
