| Main duties & eligibility highlights |
- Supervise all shift personnel and operate the plant reliably and efficiently in accordance with O&M guidelines, technical limits and approved operating procedures. - Maintain close liaison with NPCC / RCC / NTDC and 132 kV grid stations for switching, operations and plant status. - Perform and ensure safe isolation for repairs and maintenance, issue PTWs, handover to competent personnel and normalize/test the plant. - Provide technical guidance for safe and efficient restoration after system blackouts or collapses; ensure scheduled tests of EDGs and firefighting systems. - Comply with technical limits, approved procedures and have sound knowledge of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) requirements. - Coordinate, supervise, train and monitor subordinates; plan and implement on-the-job training (OJT) to improve shift competency. - Ensure accurate shift records (shift logs, IIR, DIR, DAC, RDAC etc.) and correct data entry into relevant portals. - Perform other duties as instructed by Operations Manager / HOD. |
| Experience | Minimum 6 years of experience in operation of power plants. Strong knowledge of plant systems (generators, turbines, GIS, power transformers, EDGs and auxiliaries) and experience with SCADA-based plant control and data recording required. |
