Trademark/Copyright Warning: 'SunnyD STAT' (Vitamin D3 Softgel) — Notice Against 'SUNDION' Infringement

Scotmann Pharmaceuticals is the registered owner of the brand SunnyD STAT — a Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) softgel product (labelled 200,000 IU). The company notifies the public that a product marketed under the name SUNDION (also presented as a Vitamin D3 200,000 IU softgel) and bearing packaging and get-up confusingly similar to SunnyD STAT is the subject of infringement proceedings.

Alleged infringer: Nutrifactor Laboratories (Pvt.) Limited (manufacturer/marketer of the SUNDION product). The notice states that the SUNDION product unlawfully copies the SunnyD STAT get-up and trademark, creating a risk of consumer confusion.

Legal action: Proceedings have been initiated before the Intellectual Property (IPO) Tribunal (Case No. 106/2026) and an interim stay order has been obtained restraining manufacture, sale and distribution of the infringing SUNDION product.
