Sindh Environmental Protection Agency announces that M/s Qasim International Container Terminal Pakistan Limited (DP World Karachi) has submitted an Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the proposed Terminal 1 Quay Wall extension, dredging to an operational depth of 16 meters, installation of high-capacity ship-to-shore cranes, and quay-side infrastructure upgrades at Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Karachi. The ESIA report is available for review at the Office of the Director General, Sindh Environmental Protection Agency, Plot No. ST-2/1, Sector-23, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi.
A public hearing will be held at 10:30 am on 28 July 2026 at Qasim International Container Terminal, South Western Industrial Zone, Port Qasim Authority, Malir Bin Qasim Town, Karachi. The public, stakeholders and civil society are invited to attend; written comments may be submitted to the Director General at the above address or by email to [email protected] within 10 days of this notice.
