NEPRA Seeks Public Comments on Renon Pvt. Ltd. Power Supply Licence for Tri-Pack Films (Port Qasim, Karachi)

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) invites stakeholders and the general public to submit comments on the application filed by Renon Private Limited for grant of an Electric Power Supply Licence to supply electricity as a Bulk Power Consumer (BPC) to Tri-Pack Films Limited (TPFL) at Port Qasim, Karachi.

Project and purpose
Renon proposes a generation facility on the premises of Tri-Pack Films Limited at Port Qasim, Karachi, comprising a combination of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), Photovoltaic (PV) solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The company intends to supply electricity to TPFL as a Bulk Power Consumer.

Regulatory status
Renon has submitted applications for concurrence for the generation facility and for an Electric Power Supply Licence in accordance with NEPRA regulatory requirements (references to Section 14(3) and Section 32 of the NEPRA Act are cited). NEPRA has registered the application for the Electric Power Supply Licence. A related reference notice was previously published on 2026-06-17.

How to comment
All interested or affected persons and stakeholders are invited to submit comments in favour of or against the grant of the Electric Power Supply Licence. Comments should be submitted within fifteen (15) working days from the date of publication of this notice. Registration of the application is not to be construed as consent to grant of the licence by NEPRA.
