Law Admission Test (LAT) 2026 — ETC / HEC Pakistan for LLB Admissions

Issuer: Education Testing Council (ETC) under the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. Purpose: LAT for admission into LLB degree programmes at Pakistani public and private universities/institutions and affiliated colleges for the 2026 session.

Eligibility: Candidates who have either (a) passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent 12-year education, or (b) appeared in the final HSSC or equivalent examinations and are awaiting results.

Test schedule and important dates: Registration portal remains open until Monday, August 10, 2026 (24:00). LAT test will be conducted on Sunday, September 06, 2026. Admit/roll number slips will be issued through the ETC portal and registered email/SMS. Test centers will be located in major cities of Pakistan; candidates will be able to select centers while applying, subject to availability and minimum candidate thresholds.

How to apply: Register and submit applications online at http://etc.hec.gov.pk. Applications must be complete and submitted through the ETC online system; incomplete or late applications will not be entertained. Fee payment is processed via 1Link/IBI invoice or other online payment methods shown on the ETC dashboard. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Additional notes: Candidates must provide accurate CNIC/B-form or passport details during registration; those under 18 must upload a guardian-attested B-Form or equivalent. Electronic devices, recording, communication, or image capture in the test center are strictly prohibited and may lead to disqualification and legal action.
