Law Admission Test (LAT) 2026 — Register for LLB Admissions (HEC / ETC)

Issuer: Education Testing Council (ETC) under the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. Purpose: LAT for admission to LLB degree programmes in HEC/PEC-recognised public or private universities/institutions across Pakistan.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent (12 years education), or those who have appeared in final HSSC or equivalent examinations and are awaiting results.

• Last date for online registration: 2026-08-10 (Monday)
• LAT test date: 2026-09-06 (Sunday)

How to apply: Visit the ETC registration portal at http://etc.hec.gov.pk for online registration. For online registration help visit https://on-linehelp.hec.gov.pk. After completing registration candidates must SUBMIT the application on the portal; only SUBMITTED applications will be considered. Fee payment is to be made via 1Link/IBFT invoice payment services using the generated consumer number — after payment use the ETC dashboard to verify payment. Roll number slips will be available to download from the ETC website and will also be sent to registered email/SMS where applicable.

Important instructions: Bring printed Roll Number Slip and original CNIC (or original B-Form for under-18 candidates) to the test centre. Ensure CNIC number on application matches your original CNIC; discrepancies may prevent entry. Mobile phones or electronic devices (calculators, recording devices, communication or imaging devices) are strictly prohibited inside test centres. ETC conducts LAT on a quarterly basis in major cities; check the ETC Test Calendar for future dates and test centres.
