Project Implementation Unit (BID-PIU) for Component-A of the Balochistan Water Sector Project Implementation Program (BWSPIP) invites applications for one (01) Social Safeguards Specialist. The specialist will support social safeguards, community engagement and related activities for irrigation, water resources and rural infrastructure projects in Balochistan.

| Minimum Qualification | Master's degree (minimum 16 years) in Sociology, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Community Development or related discipline from a recognized university. |
| Required Experience | Minimum 7 years post-qualification professional experience in social development, social safeguards, community engagement or rural/community programs—preferably in integrated water resources, flood management, rural infrastructure or livelihood improvement projects. Prior experience with community-driven development, stakeholder consultations, formation/engagement of community-based organizations and grievance redress mechanisms is required. Experience in similar geographic and socio-cultural (remote, rural, flood-prone) areas will be accorded weight. |
