Pakistan Air Force: Selection Procedure, Academic & Physical Test Requirements (JoinPAF)

Issuer: Pakistan Air Force. Online registration: www.joinpaf.gov.pk. This notice outlines the selection procedure, academic e-testing subjects, initial medical and interview requirements, and physical test standards for entry into GD(P), AD, A&SD, Log Course, CAE and 138 CSC courses.

Selection stages: intelligence test followed by academic e-testing; initial medical examination and interview at I&SC Centre; only shortlisted candidates will be called for ISSB (Interview/Test at ISSB Kohat, Gujranwala, Malir or Quetta). Final medical examination at CMB Lahore. Flying Aptitude Test (FAT) for GD(P) candidates will be conducted at designated I&SC centres (Rawalpindi / Karachi). GD(P) candidates with Pre-Engg / ICS / DAE background will appear in a "Math Test" at the time of FAT.

Academic e-Testing subjects by course:

• GD(P), AD, A&SD and Log Course: English & Physics
• CAE: English, Physics & Mathematics
• 138 CSC: Academic test in the relevant subject

Post-selection training and commissioning: After final selection GD(P) candidates will undergo BE (Aerospace / Avionics) programmes at CAE (merit-based) or other designated institutions while remaining successful candidates will undergo BSc Aviation Management at CFT, PAF Academy. On successful completion of the BE/BS programme, cadets are eligible for permanent commission in the Pakistan Air Force. Final selection is made by Air Headquarters in order of merit. Interviews by AHQ selection board apply for certain candidate categories.

Important eligibility and document requirements: candidates must meet academic eligibility (appearing candidates must have obtained 70% marks in F.Sc / A Level Part-I and provide a principal's certificate indicating likely passing of the final exam where applicable). A Level candidates must provide equivalence (Pre-Engg / Pre-Medical / Computer Science) from IBCC. All candidates must obtain attestation of educational documents from IBCC and submit copies of attested documents as required by the Directorate of Human Resource Induction, Air Headquarters.
