Issuer: Government of Pakistan — Pakistan Railways. Pakistan Railways invites applications for contract Project Director positions to manage specific infrastructure and modernization projects. Appointments are on a one-year contract basis (or till project completion) and may be extended based on performance.

Key qualifications and experience:
- PPS-11 post: Master in Project Management or B.Sc. Engineering (Civil) or MBA/MPA or other relevant HEC-recognized qualification; at least 16 years of education.
- PPS-10 posts: Master in Project Management or B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical) or MBA/MPA or other relevant HEC-recognized qualification; at least 16 years of education.
- Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in project management, construction supervision or related fields.
- Candidates must be conversant with PPRA rules, contract management, EPC contracts and MS Project.
- Additional marks for candidates with a Master’s in Project Management or national/international diploma in Project Management.
Contract and other conditions:
- Appointments are purely on contract for one (01) year or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier; extendable based on satisfactory performance.
- Project Directors on contract are not normally allowed to resign within the first year unless depositing three months’ salary in advance and providing a surety bond to serve at least one year. Contracts may be terminated for poor performance with one-month notice.
