Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) invites applications for the position of Resident Shariah Board Member (RSBM) at its Head Office, Islamabad. One (1) position is available on a contractual basis to provide Shariah guidance, review Shariah-related products/processes, and support Shariah governance across the Bank.

| Eligibility / Qualifications | Shahadat al Alamiya (Dars-e-Nizami) or equivalent degree from a recognized Board of Madaris and Bachelor's degree; OR Postgraduate degree in Kulyyyatush Shariah / Kulyyat Usooliddin / LLM (Shariah) or equivalent from a recognized university. |
| Essential Experience | At least 4 years of giving Shariah rulings (including period of Takhasus fi Ifta) OR at least 5 years post-qualification experience in teaching, research & development in Islamic Banking and Finance. Preferably at least 3 years as Shariah Advisor or member of a Shariah Board of an Islamic Financial Institution (IFI) or as deputy to a Shariah Advisor. |
| Other Requirements | Strong understanding of Islamic jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), fiqh methodologies, Fiqh al-Muamalat and Shariah-related banking & finance issues; ability to provide Shariah opinions, guidance on products/processes, and prepare Shariah reports and fatwas as required. |
