Position: Member (Energy)
| Qualification | Ph.D. or Master's degree in Petroleum Geology / Geology or in relevant Engineering disciplines (e.g., Oil/Gas reservoir, Chemical/Energy, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical (power), Mining Engineering) with subject specialization in a relevant field. |

| Experience | At least 18 years of experience including 5–6 years of managerial/administrative experience; experience at policy-making level. |
| Term | Up to a maximum of four (04) years, subject to satisfactory performance. |
| Pay package | SPS scale (as stated). |
Key responsibilities / Terms of Reference (summary):
- Promote and introduce innovation and technological interventions to modernize the energy sector, prioritizing public sector investment to address sectoral issues and ensure sustainable, affordable energy supply.
- Technical appraisal, monitoring and evaluation of energy sector projects/programmes; guide and advise implementing agencies in prioritizing sectoral investment projects, programmes, policies, regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with development partners and assist in preparation of Pakistan's energy-related initiatives and documentation.
- Participate in relevant working groups, meetings and forums in the approval process of energy sector development projects/programmes as the energy sector expert.
- Undertake any other assignments as may be assigned by the Prime Minister, Minister for Planning, DCPG and Secretary (Planning).
