Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd invites reputable firms/sub-contractors for pre-qualification for construction works related to high-tensile steel structures, welding, surface preparation and marine protective coating systems. Pre-qualification is required for future bidding; only pre-qualified subcontractors will be invited to bid.

Eligibility: Firms must demonstrate experience in fabrication, processing and part assembly of high-tensile steel structures, welding, grinding & fairing, surface preparation, de-rusting and coating application on ships, marine structures, dry dock structures and other steel structures. Preference for experience with epoxy and high-performance marine coating systems.
How to obtain documents: Pre-qualification documents (terms & conditions) are available from the concerned department on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 08:30 and 16:00 from the date of advertisement upon deposit of a non-refundable pay order of PKR 2,000 in favor of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd. Pay order must be issued by a scheduled bank and have 90 days validity.
Submission instructions: Applications must be received in a sealed envelope clearly marked "APPLICATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR WHICH REGISTRATION IS DESIRED". Applications must reach the undersigned within 25 days from the publication date (advertisement date 2026-09-26). Late proposals will not be considered.
Procurement rules: Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications in accordance with para-33 of PPRA Rules-2024.
