Purpose: Pre-qualification of reputed firms/sub-contractors for fabrication, processing, assembly, welding, surface preparation and marine protective coating of high-tensile steel structures.
Scope (selected works):

Eligibility / Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in fabrication, processing and part assembly of high-tensile steel structures.
- Experience in welding, grinding & fairing, surface preparation, de-rusting and coating application on ships, marine structures, dry-dock structures or similar steel structures.
- Preferably experienced with epoxy and other high-performance marine coating systems.
How to obtain Pre-Qualification documents: From the concerned department on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 08:30 and 16:00 from the date of advertisement, on deposit of a non-refundable pay order (fee) issued by any scheduled bank of Pakistan. The pay order must have 90 days validity in favor of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Ltd.
Submission instructions: Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "APPLICATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR WHICH REGISTRATION IS DESIRED". Applications must reach the undersigned within 25 days from the date of publishing of the advertisement (advertisement date shown as 26 September, 2026). Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
Notes: KS&EW reserves the right to reject any or all applications in accordance with applicable rules. Only sub-contractors pre-qualified under this process will be invited to bid.
