Preference to candidates with Takhasus fil Fiqh/Takhasus fil Ifta certificate and those with 3+ years' experience as Shariah Advisor or member/deputy of a Shariah Board of an Islamic Financial Institution. |
| Qualifications | One of the following: Shahadat al-Alamiyyah / Dars-e-Nizami or equivalent from recognized Madaris plus a Bachelor’s degree; or postgraduate degree in Kulyyyatush-Shariah / Kulyyyat Usuluddin; LL.M (Shariah) or equivalent from a recognized university. Membership of Shariah Boards/Committees of reputable organizations will be an advantage. |
| Key Responsibilities | Provide Shariah rulings, explanations and clarifications to management and staff on products, documents and process flows; assist the Shariah & Compliance Division (SCD) in reviews and training; review client Shariah queries; submit quarterly reports to SCD; guide on permissibility/implications of products; and perform other duties as assigned by the bank. |
| Eligibility & Other Conditions | Maximum age 62 years on closing date. Market-competitive remuneration. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; no TA/DA. Applicants convicted by any court are not eligible. |
