Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) invites applications for the position of Resident Shariah Board Member (RSBM) at its Head Office in Islamabad. The Bank seeks an experienced Shariah scholar to provide Shariah guidance, review and approve Islamic banking products, and assist in Shariah governance across the institution.

| Experience | At least four (4) years of experience in giving Shariah rulings including the period of Takhassus fil Fiqh or at least five (5) years post qualification experience in teaching or Research and Development in Islamic Banking and Finance. Preference to those with Shariah advisory experience to financial institutions or Shariah team membership. |
| Key Qualifications | Shahadat ul Alamiya (Dawra-e-Nizami) or equivalent, or Post Graduate degree in Kulyiyyatush Shariah / Kulyiyyah Usuluddin (or LLM/Shariah equivalent) from a recognized university. Membership/affiliation with recognized Shariah Boards/Committees is desirable. |
| Primary Responsibilities | Provide Shariah opinions/clarifications; participate in Shariah governance of products, documents and processes; review and approve product structures; guide Shariah compliance and review reports; respond to Shariah related queries of business and recommend improvements to ensure Shariah compliance and permissibility. |
| Eligibility & Conditions | Maximum age limit referenced against closing date; market competitive remuneration; only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview; no TA/DA for interviews. Candidates convicted by any court of law are not eligible to apply. |
