NEPRA Public Notice: Call for Comments on Proposed Wheeling Auction Amendments (BESS Co-location)

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) invites stakeholders and the public to comment on proposed amendments to the Wheeling Auction Process submitted by the Independent System and Market Operator of Pakistan (SMO). Key proposed changes include a mandatory co-location requirement for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with solar or wind generation participating in the auction, an option to extend the proposal submission deadline by up to one month, and the creation of a Grievance Redressal Committee for eligibility disputes.

Comments must be submitted within seven (7) days of this notice’s publication. The proposed amendments are available on the NEPRA website.
