Chairperson, Pakistan Climate Change Authority — Ministry of Climate Change, Islamabad

Government of Pakistan — Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination (Islamabad) invites applications for the post of Chairperson of the Pakistan Climate Change Authority. This senior leadership appointment seeks an experienced scientist, academician, professional or technocrat with substantial expertise in climate change and environmental management.

Qualification & Experience: Ph.D., M.Phil. or Master’s degree in Climate Change / Environmental Sciences / Environmental Engineering / Renewable Energy / Natural Resource Management / Economics / Environmental Laws / Finance / Management Sciences or other relevant disciplines from HEC-recognized national or international university. Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in fields related to climate change and environment, including at least three (3) years at senior management level. Candidates with world-class university degrees, highly cited research, and experience in climate finance, climate law firms, capital markets, investment banking, technical finance, carbon finance, or climate-related start-ups will be given preference. Advanced qualifications in finance or law are an advantage.

Age & Quota: No age limit. Open merit.

Disqualifications: Persons dismissed/removed/compulsorily retired for disciplinary reasons, persons convicted by a court for offences involving moral turpitude or corruption, and beneficiaries of the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007 (LX of 2007) are not eligible.
