Issuer: Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC). Purpose: Conduct of MDCAT-2026 for admission to MBBS/BDS programs at medical and dental colleges/universities. Candidates must register online at mdcat.pmdc.pk.

Test format & syllabus: The MDCAT-2026 is a paper-based multiple-choice test in English with 180 MCQs and no negative marking. Subject weightage:

Difficulty distribution: Easy 15%, Moderate 70%, Difficult 15%.
Test centres: MDCAT will be conducted at multiple cities across Pakistan (including Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Quetta, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad and others) depending on the number of applicants. An international centre will also be available (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia).
How to apply: Complete online registration at mdcat.pmdc.pk. Curriculum/syllabus is available at www.pmdc.pk. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. The Council reserves the right to change the schedule if required.
